Welcome to the April Edition of our Newsletter
Our goal for this edition of the newsletter is to pause for a moment and look back at 2024 by spotlighting our annual report.

2024 was a defining year for the Maker Bhavan Foundation. It wasn’t just about meeting milestones—it was about unlocking potential and proving what’s possible when we champion hands-on learning at scale.

Our Tinkerers’ Lab network doubled, giving thousands more students access to spaces where ideas come to life. At Invention Factory®, we crossed a major milestone: over 100 provisional patent disclosures filed, The momentum extended across our programs. Applications for Invention Factory® and the Vishwakarma Awards quadrupled. LEAP, our partner institution, expanded to 15 institutions .

Numbers however do not tell the real story. What perhaps would bring it home is a few examples of student-led innovations like Pavan Kale’s Sipwise and Param Tank’s fleet of electric cycles that have transitioned from prototypes to ventures in the real world in 2024.

For the MBF team this Annual Report is a celebration of the strides we have taken in the growth of a culture of making in higher education institutions empowering thousands of students and strengthening our partnerships across academia, industry, and the broader community at large.

There is satisfaction and a quiet sense of accomplishment. It fuels our motivation to keep moving forward with an even bolder goal – to empower one million makers by 2030.

Thank you for being a part of us in this journey.

Please help us spread the word. Every new supporter brings us closer to a future built by makers.
