We build bridges.

For too long, the pathway from imagination to making has been uneven, especially for the vast majority of engineering students studying in tier-2 colleges with limited resources. At Maker Bhavan Foundation, we choose to spend our energy where the gap is widest: deliberately investing in those towns and campuses to level the playing field, one lab at a time.

Each new Tinkerers’ Lab we open is not merely an inauguration. It’s a promise; to the student who’s never had access to a CNC or a mentor, to the team with an idea but nowhere to build it, to the learner who’s been overlooked. When we plant tools, training and networks in these cities, we’re building a bridge from curiosity to capability. The next big innovator could come from anywhere — and our job is to make sure “anywhere” includes every campus in India.

This issue celebrates three such bridges we’ve opened in the last two months. Read on for their stories, the students they’ll serve, and the ways you can join us in widening opportunity.
