Welcome to the February edition of our newsletter!

We have conducted a six-week workshop for several years where students learn to create a valuable product that is protected by a patent. When we asked several reputable R&D teams from medium to large corporations how long it takes to develop a new product, their responses ranged from eight months to over two years. The students who enrol in this workshop achieve this in just six weeks. The key to such productivity is the mentoring they receive. For the past four years, two professors from the USA have led these workshops, providing mentorship to students and IIT faculty. This year, we plan to continue the program in the same format but under a new name, Invent X, involving those same IIT faculty in mentoring activities.

Here are some excellent examples of innovations from past editions and information about InventX 2025. These examples show that, with the right mentoring, anyone can learn to invent useful products.
