Welcome to the January edition of our newsletter!
Alumni relations are the lifeblood of our ongoing growth and progress, and the PIWOT conference (https://piwot.paniit.org/) embodied this spirit perfectly. For the IIT Bombay Class of ‘75, currently in the midst our golden jubilee reunion, the Maker Bhavan Foundation (MBF) represents an inspiring way to give back and empower the next generation of engineers and innovators.
Our journey is driven by the belief that knowledge, mentorship, and resources should flow forward, ensuring that today’s students become tomorrow’s leaders. PIWOT provided a unique platform for MBF to connect with visionary thinkers. It was an exceptional opportunity to share our mission with peers and reinforced our dedication to shaping the future of technical education in India.
Every year, IIT alumni, faculty and Industry leaders all come together for PIWOT. This year, MBF was an active participant in this Pan-IIT conference. Ruyintan Mehta, President, WIN Foundation and MBF BOD, shared insights on Technology for Societal Upliftment as part of an illustrious panel. In the midst of all of the excitement of the conference, we broadcasted our impact at a booth manned by students from the Tinkerers’ Lab, Vishwakarma Awards, and Invention Factory. Our students stood tall, presenting their projects with immense pride and passion.
I invite you to take a closer look at how MBF contributed to the dialogue at PIWOT

“Maker Bhavan Foundation is trying to instill a belief, that you can also build products, get your hands dirty and you will be able to build something when you put in enough time; along with this they connect with you the right kind of mentors and leaders from Industry who would encourage as you try to innovate.”
